Charleston County, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation
is continuing a tradition that started there. The Charleston County
Council proclaimed "Gullah/Geechee Nation Appreciation Week" and
presented Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) with a proclamation during their meeting which was broadcast county wide.
